Sample One: "Dad’s Not Dead"

“Dad’s Not Dead” is a play I wrote for Intro to Playwriting to fit the brief of a one act play for the final project. I believe that I met all objectives for the assignment as the piece is a completed one act play which placed first in the Carson McCullers Literary Awards and was subsequently solicited for publication in the Arden.

Sample Two: "Wish Upon a Broken Memory"

“Wish Upon a Broken Memory” is a short story I wrote for an Advanced Creative Writing Workshop as my final project. I believe I met all objectives for the assignment as the piece, though meant to be part of a larger work of the same title, is able to stand on its own as a short story.

Sample Three: "Em Dash Semicolon Full Stop"

“Em Dash Semicolon Full Stop” is a poem I wrote for Intro to Poetry for an open submission assignment. I believe I met all objectives for the assignment as the only objective was that my submission had to be a poem.
